KenNet Inc is a non-profit incorporated community organization located in the Town of Kensington, Prince Edward Island, Canada. KenNet Inc owns and operates the Knetwork Centre, Prince Edward Island's first regional technology centre. This technology centre provides access to IT services for Kensington and surrounding communities, from Malpeque Bay in the west to Stanley Bridge in the east. It features commercial office suites, a computer lab for training and public internet access, and a sophisticated network infrastructure that enables services such as video conferencing.
KenNet Inc has its origins in 1995 under the Connection Canadians initiative through Industry Canada. In 1999, the Kensington Community Access Program (CAP-C) or KenNet, was awarded Level II CAP site status. Also that year, KenNet achieved incorporation status and became KenNet Inc.
