Kensington Meals on Wheels was started in the Kensington area in 1985. At the time Phylis Paynter was the moving force in starting the project.

The purpose of Kensington Meals on Wheels is to deliver hot, nutritious meals to people who would otherwise find it difficult to prepare their own. A great response to the annual fall appeal by individuals, local businesses, church groups and Women's Institutes makes this service possible.
